The Hellgate London beta has ended and I purchased a last minute preorder from my local Gamestop. I’m supposed to get the Lava Dye Kit with the EB Games preorder key, so I guess I’ll find out this coming Wednesday.
In the meantime, I have TF2 and the Mythos beta to keep me occupied. Which reminds me, I was sitting in traffic yesterday thinking about the games I haven’t played recently: Battlefield 2142 and Medal of Honor: Airborne. I’m beginning to think that my decision to buy MOH:A was a big mistake. We’ve received 1 patch from EA so far and it was just getting around to adding dedicated servers. I’ve played through the single-player campaign, which was easy enough despite having it on the highest difficulty, so what’s left? The multiplayer aspect of the game is severely lacking and I fear that it is a problem that won’t be fixed anytime soon.
As far as BF 2142 goes, however, I’m not sure what happened. I stopped playing consistently when I moved to my new apartment for my new job and I haven’t played it much since then. It’s weird because that was a game that I’ve been playing a rather consistently for over a year and a half now. I should probably go back and drop in on the Tactical Gamer guys and see how things are going.
The beginning of November is a huge time for me as a gamer. There are a lot of games coming out around this time as well as a lot of updates on longer projects that are expected sometime in 2008. I’m still anticipating Left 4 Dead like crazy.
I’m going home this weekend which means two things: no PC gaming and no blogging. Maybe I’ll hang out with my favorite science blogger?
